DOWN COMFORTERS
DeWoolfson Down takes pride in providing the finest down comforters covered with exquisite European fabric and generously filled with European white goose down. Constructed in a superior baffled box construction which securely holds the down in place while allowing it to reach maximum loft. Each comforter is made to order and shipped within 24 to 48 hours from the North Carolina factory.
Warmth Level:
Level 1-perfect for warmer climates or for summer use
Level 2-ideal for most southern areas of the U.S. or for those who maintain a warmer bedroom
Level 3-this weight level is ideal for a range of climates or for use in cooler bedrooms
Level 4-ideal for cold winter use or those who prefer low bedroom heat
Fabric:
Classic-this lightweight European weave is one of the most densely woven and durable down proof fabrics. The sateen finish gives it a shimmering appearance which is capable of providing many years of comfort and use. Egyptian cotton fabric weight 105gm/m2
Batiste-this is one of the lightest weight down proof fabrics, it adds very little weight while sleeping, and is ideal for the warmth level 1 and 2 comforters. Egyptian cotton fabric weight 85gm/m2
Jacquard-similar to the classic with a damask stripe. Perhaps the finest down proof European Jacquard on the market. Egyptian cotton fabric weight 115gm/m2
Lyocell- more "cottony" than cotton, the first new natural fiber in down proof ticking. This ecologically friendly, cellulose based fabric feels like silk, about 62% more absorbent than cotton. Austrian yarn. Fabric weight 105gm/m2
Organic cotton batiste-this eco-friendly cotton fabric comes from controlled biological cultivation. Processed naturally in an undyed,unbleached state without artificial fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. No dyes, heavy metals, formaldehyde, chlorine, or other chemicals. Woven in Austria. Natural color only.
Fill Power:
This is the term used to describe the size and quality of the down clusters. That is important when it comes to the loft and insulating properties of goose down. A higher fill power rating means that your comforter will be fluffier and warmer than a comforter with the same weight of lesser quality down. Choose between 650 or 750 white goose down fill power.
650 Fill Power-One ounce of 650 down will fill 650 cubic inches of space
750 Fill Power-This is hand harvested and One ounce of 750 down will fill 750 cubic inches of space
